Irina Nelson is a Russian singer, music producer, founder, and soloist of the Reflex group. As a certified specialist in Kundalini Yoga, he promotes healthy lifestyles. Under her leadership, the Life108 health project operates.

Irina Nelson was born in the Novosibirsk town of Barabinsk in the spring of 1972. Her maiden name is Tereshina. According to Ira, her creative biography began at the age of 3. The first "stage" of the baby was the knees of her beloved grandmother. Sitting on them, the granddaughter amused a loved one with her first songs. Grandmother, mother, and later sister Vera sang along with her. My uncle had a talent for playing any instrument. They came from Ukraine. Therefore the first songs of Ira Tereshina were Ukrainian folk. Irina Nelson recalls that as a child and adolescent, she was awkward and unattractive. Each time the teacher paid attention to Ira's gait: the girl stooped and walked, waving her arms uncontrollably. Irina also did not know how to dress. All this came later when Tereshina began her musical career.

But the girl's ear for music and vocals was beautiful from a young age. The girl graduated from the local music school in piano class as an external student. I couldn't imagine life outside of music. Therefore, having received a certificate, I went to Novosibirsk and entered the music school, choosing the piano department.

At the school, Irina Nelson discovered jazz for herself. The student was so carried away by this direction that she even became a soloist of the jazz orchestra, which was formed at the school. But soon the young singer "outgrew" this group and decided to move on. Ira organized her collective, the repertoire of which included many songs of her composition. The big jazz band began touring the country. But after the music competition "Yalta-91", where the Novosibirsk singer took 1st place, she left the band. Tereshina could not refuse the offer from the composer Vyacheslav Tyurin. He saw a talented girl in Yalta and offered her to work in the Electroversion group. Of course, she agreed. It was a career leap that promised to turn the little-known singer into a star.

And so it happened. Ira Tereshina became the famous performer Diana. In the first year of cooperation with Tyurin, the singer recorded her first disc, entitled "An Evening with Diana."

Diana's albums came out one after another and enjoyed considerable success. In the period from 1991 to 1999, 7 albums of the singer were released. The best of them is "I want to love," "I'll be back," and "Don't tell." At this time, Diana is actively touring, often abroad. In 1993, the artist attended the Cannes Music Festival. Later she took part in the "Song of the Year" road trip in the USA.

Diana received her first prestigious awards in 1996. Soyuz Studio presented her with the Golden Disc.

In the late 1990s, the singer's life took a dramatic turn. She got married and left for Germany. It was then that Irina Nelson was born. The singer's husband was a citizen of Sweden, Andreas Nelson. The Russian woman took his last name as her stage name.

In Germany, the Russian singer met Dieter Bohlen and DJ Bobo. They influenced her further work. However, like her husband, he is a musician, traveler, Buddhist, and adherent of oriental culture.

After a short marriage, the singer returned to her homeland. Here the artist continued her collaboration with Vyacheslav Tyurin.

The composer welcomed the new trend that the performer decided to bring into her work. She wanted to create a new project that would be focused not only on dance floors but also on listeners "with an open mind." Probably, the Buddhist practices that Irina Nelson met in the different periods of her life influenced here.

Personal life

Although the first short marriage with a Swedish citizen Andreas Nelson ended in divorce, it strongly influenced the singer's creativity and life. Irina discovered the East, Buddhist practices, meditation, and yoga. Moreover, she is engaged in yoga professionally, having completed a unique training course at Los Angeles Kundalini University. Nelson has a diploma qualifying her to teach Kundalini Yoga. A network of yoga schools operates in Russia under her leadership.

In her first marriage, the singer had a son. According to information from social networks, it is known that the young man's name is Anton. He is already married and gave his mother, a grandson Christoph.

Irina Nelson's personal life indeed became complete and happy only with Vyacheslav Tyurin. For Irina, this is both a creative union and marital happiness.

The singer adheres to vegetarianism. Moreover, Irina chose the most consistent form of vegetarianism for herself: Ira is a vegan. Eats only fruits, vegetables, legumes, and milk. Over time, Irina and her husband moved from Moscow to the countryside, where they built a cozy house. In addition to recreation areas, the mansion also has a study, where Irina and Vyacheslav are working on creating new musical compositions.

Irina Nelson now

In 2017, the artist was awarded a medal of the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, II degree. Irina Nelson received an award from President Vladimir Putin for participating in charity concerts in Donbas during the hostilities. The singer also distinguished herself by the fact that in 2016 she shot a video for the song "Talk to Me" in Crimea.

However, the fact of the award caused a resonance of bewilderment in the society. The situation angered the circus artist Edgard Zapashny, who posted candid photos of the artist on Instagram and commented on them that he would not like to be par with such medal bearers. Criticism followed from journalist Natalia Radulova and blogger Lena Miro.
