Kanye West is a world-famous rapper and producer, as well as a designer, director, entrepreneur. His musical work greatly influenced the current state of hip-hop culture, mainly in terms of sound and the overall approach to music.

He began to rap back in 1996, starting with producing other people's releases. In parallel, he joined the group Go-Getters, releasing one album with them in 1999.

In subsequent years, he made tracks for such artists as Nas, Jermaine Dupri, Foxy Brown, Goodie Mob.

In 2000, he was spotted on the Roc-A-Fella label and produced part of the Jay-Z classic album "The Blueprint". In 2002, he released his debut mixtape "Get Well Soon", as well as the teip "I'm Good" in 2003. These releases fueled public interest, and already in 2004 the debut album "The College Dropout" was released, which instantly became a classic. Subsequent albums "Late Registration" and "Graduation" also became extremely successful, and Kanye turned into an icon for lovers of alternative hip-hop.

In 2008, he released his fourth studio album, "808's & Heartbreak," with a sharp bias in electro-pop and R&B. The experiment turned out to be successful, but in 2010 Kanye returned to the classical style by releasing the album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy", considered by many to be his best release. In 2011, West, together with Jay Z, released a joint album, "Watch The Throne," and in 2012, a compilation of GOOD Music Records. In 2013, after long work, an extremely controversial, but still successful, sixth solo album entitled "Yeezus" was released. In 2016, Kanye released the album "The Life of Pablo", which became the first meta-album in the history of the genre, and the tracklist of the Kanye album changed all year as the demo versions were finalized.
